Job Description :

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager, Direct - London / SE Eng (ref: J2072) to increase their market position and achieve financial growth by building direct relationships with clients who best suit their residual value based funding solution and services. The role is a combination of telephone sales and face to face client meetings dependant on the size and complexity of the transactions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Originate new business from scratch, utilising personal canvassing, sales origination tools, social networking, the internet and trade journals / shows along with your own network of existing connections.
Prospect for new clients to introduce our client's sales aid proposition.
Cold call new prospects to ensure a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
Meet potential partners to identify their requirements and articulate our client's sales aid funding and value added services.
Identify potential clients and the decision makers within those organisations.
Research and build relationships with new cleints.
Set up meetings between client decision makers and, as required, our client's Management team to support the process.
Plan approaches and pitches by working with Management team to develop presentations and proposals that meet and exceed the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in pricing the lease solution and additional value-added services.
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
Present an image that mirrors that of the client and employer.
Build recurrent new business with newly won and existing clients.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of cold calling and self-generation of leads with prospects with the ability to sell the concept and benefits of sales-aid leasing products to partners.
Self-motivated and disciplined, entrepreneurial individual looking to develop their sales career in an environment that actively encourages individuals to succeed.
Sales experience to include canvassing for new business via the telephone and managing the sales process from end to end.
Demonstrate an understanding of company accounts, management information.
Knowledge of Credit would be a distinct advantage.
Good knowledge and interest in technology, the ability to understand the different types of technology products and solutions provided by resellers, distributors and manufacturers.
Ability to converse confidently with finance and IT departments at prospective clients on the features and benefits of our client's lease proposition.
Energetic, enthusiastic and above all persistent as the technology leasing market is extremely competitive.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
