Job Description :

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager - SE Eng (pref) / Mids or NW Eng (ref: J2100) to develop strong relationships and drive business volume with a view of growing their distribution channel. Broker Manager, Consumer Finance and or Renewable Energy experience would be strongly advantageous.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operate as the lead point of contact for the lneders and renewable energy / energy efficient product installers.
Drive sales and meet set volume targets through a combination of Account Managment and Business Development.
Develop and grow the distribution channel and seek new business opportunities that will add value to the business tactically and strategically. 
Maintain a high level of rigor around the framework the lender’s operate within. 
Provide issue resolution to the lenders and assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships.
Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline and sales volume reporting. 
Provide management with regular updates on meetings, business development opportunities and lender issues.
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with lenders, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of the business proposition according to internal and external customer needs and objectives.
Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Forecast and track lender key metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
Support development of 12-month sales strategy, as part of the planning process, identifying key areas of growth/decline and potential opportunities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Proven work experience within a target driven environment working as an account manager, key account manager, business development manager or other relevant role experience. 
Sales experience within the consumer finance sector preferred.
Broker Manager experience preferred.
Demonstrable track record of being able to attract new business, develop an account and continually deliver against targets essential.
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level.
Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint). 
Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
Proven ability to manage multiple client projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
This is a home-based role, with a minimum requirement to spend 1 day a week in the London office and the remaining time spent meeting stakeholders /customers.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
