Job Description :

J2172 - Our client is seeking a Head of Disposal & Remarketing to lead and manage the inspection and asset disposal process for their UK Asset Management function, predominantly focusing on asset classes relating to Road Transportation, Construction and Manufacturing Industries. You will be responsible for maximising income and minimising potential losses during the mid and end of term of the lease cycle. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To create and effectively manage the mid and end of term processes for asset disposal across the UK Transportation, Construction and wider Industrial sector, through organising, planning, and managing the daily activities with a view to mitigating potential losses, and exploiting opportunities to maximise income from the UK asset portfolio.
Manage the operational activities regarding the implimentation of the UK Asset Inspection strategy, providing and maintaining all relevant data records.
Set up, develop and maintain an extensive re-marketing network across the UK Transportation, Construction and Industrial sectors. 
Manage the UK RV portfolio through internal IT system applications, providing accurate and detailed management information to the relevant stakeholders on a frequent basis.
Develop and manage effective business relationships with internal departments, whereby Asset Management will deliver best in class service to their internal customers.
Support new and manage existing vendor and third party programmes with asset management expertise, providing appropriate support to the Sales team.
Support the portfolio review process and initiatives with Sales, Risk Management and where appropriate external third parties to maximise identified opportunities/mitigate potential risks during the life of the lease.
Provide monthly updates and quarterly review of portfolio performance and recommend appropriate changes.
Maintain and where applicable develop equipment disposal routes across all core channels and ensure assets are returned, disposed and where applicable repossessed in accordance with internal processes and guidelines, and that transparent records of sales, equipment stock, and lease status are logged and maintained. 
Work alongside the Data and Governance Leader to support in all relevent portfolio reviews, RV and RV matrix reviews, to make sure all processes are formally approved.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Minimum 5 years experience in similar role/function. 
Ability to demonstrate you have a strong asset knowledge and can evidence a broad re marketing network across the Transportation (LCV, HGV, Trailer, Bus and Coach), Construction Machine Tools, and general Industrial market.
First hand experience of disposing of assets, and will have an established and extensive remarketing network across these channels.
Analysis skills, commercial agility, ability to evaluate risk and judge commercial aspects of business.
Sound management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent negotiating skills.
The role is home based and will require extensive travel throughout the UK.
