Job Description :

J2229 - Our client is seeking an IT Channel Manager - UK, Gtr London / SE Eng to develop new relationships with IT resellers and channel partners. You will be required to drive sales opportunities from the partners and facilitate the introduction of opportunities to the account management team for execution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop and maintain existing and new channel partners.
For larger vendors, work with Account Managment team to deliver a co-ordinated and seamless service to the partner.
For International programmes, liaise with International Programme and local Account Managment to deliver a co-ordinated and seamless service to the partner.
Regularly visit channel and vendor partners to attend partner sales meetings and sell financial offering.
Build relationships with management and sales teams and trust, credibility and respect with partners.
Deliver sales training, marketing campaigns, finance promotions and attend trade events in order to maintain awareness and knowledge of finance solutions.
Liaise with Account Managment team to help get deals credit approved.
Achieve personal and team volume, income and margin targets.
Prepare monthly reports for the channel partners including activity levels, deals proposed, approved, converted, volumes, profiling etc.
Manage pipeline and rate charts for channel partners on a monthly basis.
Verbally demonstrate a sound understanding of asset finance and knowledge of the industry involved.
Develop the customer conversation, seeking and quoting on new business opportunities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Self-motivated and professional.
Good asset finance product knowledge and basic documentation skills (as a minimum).
Demonstrates strong sales skills and has the ability to close transactions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain business relationships with vendor partners.
Ability to listen to the customer’s needs and then deliver credible finance solutions.
Proven negotiation skills.
Strong credit skills to present deals and challenge referrals and declines.
Ability to price transactions using the KPMG Classic tool and HP17 or equivalent.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Good time management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
Proven experience in a sales function.
Highly numerate and practical problem solving capabilities.
IT skills to include word/excel/ and ability to learn new IT products.
