Amazon’s Spanish business has started offering consumers access to personal leasing through ALD Automotive.
The www.amazon.es/motors website now offers vehicles through ALD with maintenance, insurance, tire change, breakdown assistance, vehicle registration and excess mileage buffer.
Customers can get vehicles delivered to their door and they all come with a 50km/30 day return policy.
ALD is currently offering Alfa Romeo, BMW, Ford, Fiat, Tesla, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Seat and Subaru through Amazon.
Leasing packages are available for either 36 or 48 months.
Raoul Heinze, Amazon director, EU automotive, said: “We often experiment with new ideas and learn based on feedback we receive from customers.
“With Motors, we are focused on providing the low prices and convenience that customers expect from Amazon, while making the car leasing process as easy as possible.”
Heinze said the prices shown on Amazon will be the total price they pay per month so there is no need to call of a quote, they “just add fuel”.
After selecting their car, configuration and lease duration, customers receive an email with a link taking them to leasing provider ALD Automotive’s online leasing platform, where customers complete a credit assessment and sign the contract.
The entire process is done online.
ALD Automotive will schedule free delivery of the car to the customer’s doorstep and manage the lease for the duration of the contract. Customers can exchange their current model and renew their contract for a new car every three to four years.
