Our client is a leading financial services institution who are seeking an Asset Manager to set residual values for leased assets and manages, monitors, and mitigates this residual value risk through the life of the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate as an active and senior member of the Asset Management team to provide a professional, independent, and respected service to customers, both internal and external. Deputise and provide leadership and coaching as needed across key functions of the department.
  • To competitively set Residual Values on a transactional basis for Operating Lease opportunities in accordance with the RV Policy, balancing appropriate risk and reward.
  • Undertake the management of Asset Remarketing and Inventory Control of all leases with an Own Book Residual Value exposure, managing RV risk to maximise asset profitability and minimise losses through effective asset sales.
  • Create opportunities with new and existing routes to market to support circular economy and CSR activities.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of assets, customers, and markets to enable informed decisions to deliver positive outcomes through effective Residual Value setting and Remarketing by working closely with Sales Teams, Remarketing Partners, Vendors, Introducers and End Users
  • Assist the Sales teams through the provision of RV’s for Operating Leases within SLA. Provide asset advice and, where required, guidance on depreciation curves, balloon and buyback figures and general asset knowledge.
  • Ensure all Operating Lease transactions are approved via E-Sign or, where appropriate, by auto-sign off and that there is an auditable record.
  • Maximise RV realisation and mitigate losses as fully as possible through effective and proactive Remarketing. Be aware of returning assets up to 6 months in advance of return.
  • Recommend and manage remarketing channels, setting auction reserves or sale prices as appropriate and managing the sale of the asset to maximise the value.
  • Ensure effective supplier review process and continuous rationalisation of Approved Remarketing Partners, including oversight of remarketing costs
  • Ensure effective asset return process working with the Assistant Asset Manager, including asset inspection and recharge of any items outside of agreed return conditions; and asset logistics, data wiping, secure storage and refurb, if required.
  • Identify and execute on additional sources of income leveraging remarketing capabilities and market footprint, including support for new customers where there may be an opportunity to dispose of retuning assets.
  • Support circular economy activity and NBV growth by contributing to the setup and management of a mechanism and process to allow the sale of used assets through vendor partners with accompanying appropriate finance packages.
  • Ensure that the AMS database is maintained accurately and that the information held is correct, comprehensive, and current so that the quarterly report produced for the Residual Value Committee is accurate.
  • Provide Collections with desk-top valuations for all asset types for arrears and repossession cases in accordance with the SLA. Provide advice and guidance in appointing the Repossession Agent, where required. Support with asset remarketing, notifying Collections on the progress and completion of sales and arranging for any HPI interest to be removed once the asset is sold.
  • Support with wider team and business initiatives and projects, as required.
  • Understand, comply with, and adhere to all internal SLAs, policies, rules and procedures and external regulatory requirements

Requirements:
