KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Effectively underwriting credit applications according to defined risk appetite.
Utilising metrics and data to identify areas of potential and emerging risk.
Assist with identifying, anticipating and addressing potential risks to the Head of Risk & Operations.
Providing well-reasoned, balanced assessment of risk and return trade-offs.
Assessing the credit worthiness of client companies.
Helping to ensure company procedures comply with industry standards.
Keeping informed of legal, compliance, and market related risk related issues involved in the approval of credit.
Undertake reviews of performance of portfolio and communicate on risk & opportunities that result.
Gather and share market and competitor information in order to ensure strategic and tactical initiatives are relevant and correctly targeted.
Undertaking reviews of brokers and third parties in line with policy requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

2+ years’ experience in a similar role ideally within the asset finance industry.
Ability to read and understand work related materials.
Ability to clearly express and communicate ideas, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated and strong team player.
Solution-oriented and good at building consensus.
Proficient in developing new ideas to mitigate risk.
Ability to think logically and strategically.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible attitude, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
