KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsible for a small team of junior underwriters.
The team are responsible for the following;
- Loading lease proposals into out PMS system.
- Completing credit searches.
- Underwriting lease for our own book.
- Pre-underwriting leases to be placed with 3rd party funders. Discussing applications with 3rd party funders.
- Monitoring proposal turnaround times and updating Account Managers accordingly.
- Tracking 3rd party funding guidelines.
The role of the Credit Manager will largely involve managing & training the two junior positons in respect of loading applications, issuing 3rd party funder decisions and making the relevant credit decisions on flow applications.
Required to step into these roles when workload requires.
Responsible for signing off larger transactions and Exceptions to policy and further looking to change and develop our current offering.
Reviewing, changing and adapting auto scoring / credit decioning system.
Handling larger and more challenging proposals both with internal and external parties.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

A background in lease underwriting is essential.
Ability to multi task.
Organised with attention to detail.
Strong communicator.
Works well under pressure and at a fast pace.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
