J2393 - Our client is seeking a Head of High Technology Vendor to manage the sales team and develop strategies and pathways to grow and develop the business, identify market segments where the company can bring value and generate profitable volumes, identify and execute strategies to implement their ‘closer-to-the-point-of-sale’ strategy. Coach and advise the Account Management team, communicate strategies to the team and provide monthly progress to senior management. Salary: Excellent salary, bonus and benefits. Manage and lead the sales team including all reviews, development and personnel requirements.
Achieve target objectives in volume, margin and income and other objectives.
Fulfil role within the senior management team to work with other senior colleagues to achieve broader company objectives including participating in systems, processes and people development projects and other key management requirements.
Maintain senior contact with leading vendors and introducers in the software, business technology, IT solutions and healthcare markets.
Lead the business through a period of structural change in the business technology market. Understand and respond to changes in software accounting rules, increased demand from customers for managed service solutions, cloud & subscription products and Everything-as-a-Service.
Typical transaction size will range from £50k to £2m however, the markets we operate in will require small ticket methodologies whilst still being able to manage and transact large transactions up to £50m from time to time.
Maintain contact with relationship managers and periodically deliver company capabilities and coverage to the teams. Work closely with Global finance team to syndicate larger opportunities on a case by case basis.
Prepare vendor & transaction documentation. Liaise with external legal counsel and UK Sales Director where appropriate on documentation wording.
Review and assess new vendor relationships that are originated by Business Development Manager and ensure that leads are qualified and will have a high chance to deliver volumes and returns.
Manage team, conduct quarterly and annual reviews and set and monitor objectives.
Ensure annual programme reviews are conducted by team members and documentation regularly reviewed.
Oversee and manage SAP embedded sales resource, ensuring that our investment in sales is maximised.
Develop strong effective interaction with Risk, New Business, Finance and other support divisions to ensure smooth service, resolve issues and develop and enhance our service to vendors.
Knowledge of Credit Risk and ability to discuss credit appeals with Risk team.
Understanding the requirements to meet all FCA and compliance standards important to the role.
In depth risk, legal and asset knowledge of vendor finance together with the ability to market the company’s products and services.
Proven experience of working at CEO level.
Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, report writing and presenting.
Excellent time management, planning, organisational and delegation skills.
