KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Carry out Customer Due Diligence and sense checks on customers and transactions.
Review the suppliers on customer transactions to ensure they are genuine, bona fide dealerships / suppliers of the equipment asked to fund. Where and when appropriate to authorise suppliers.
Ensure that all transactions presented to risk for pay-out meet the appropriate credit sanction and credit limit issued and that all documentation in respect of specific risk caveats has been provided and properly executed
Analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit in all business channels for flow business transactions
Interpret and evaluate internal and external credit reference agency, broker and market reports to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
Prepare risk reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit for all flow business channel transactions with clear, concise and rational recommendations for the credit decision
Support ad-hoc administrative tasks for the Risk team and ensure accurate data is held and maintained on core underwriting and customer management system.
Make recommendations for the ongoing development of systems, processes and practices to provide improvements in efficiency and capacity of the risk team and the business in general
Participate in ongoing personal development to deliver on business/personal objectives

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting and evaluating Risk within a financial institution. However this is not mandatory or limited to the analysis of financial accounts. It may include experience in credit / business analysis through their academic study as well as work experience.
An understanding of the asset finance or similar industry and the various product offerings and types of funding facilities available.
Good ability to adapt and assimilate information, with a keen eye for detail and an enquiring mind, to enable the development of key analytical skills and foster a sense of commerciality and business focus.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and efficiently both verbally and in writing to peers and senior management alike.
Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Professional telephone manner and demeanour.
Strong team player.
Self-disciplined, motivated and time efficient.
Act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating customers fairly.
