J2530 - Our client is seeking a European Marketing Manager to define, develop and manage the European marketing strategy, providing specialist marketing support to the existing vendor programmes and driving the implementation of marketing initiatives for new vendor programmes. This is a key role in supporting the strategic ambitions of the business. Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Surrey.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Manage all aspects of planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies, customer insight and training activities, exhibitions, customer events and promotions, marketing communications and PR.
Understand the strategic and tactical direction of the business, and be fully integrated into the business development and sales activity of the team, maximising opportunities and revenue for the marketing function, providing a key commercial interface into the business to support all vendor programmes to achieve commercial objectives.
Overall responsibility for marketing budget and negotiating on all marketing contracts with third parties to ensure maximum business value is delivered.
Identify and evaluate compliance and risks within area of responsibility ensuring sufficient business controls are in place to minimise exposure to risk.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Experienced Marketing professional already operating at mid-senior level with proven experience of generating new initiatives that have a significant impact on moving the business forward.
Relevant professional qualification at degree level or equivalent experience.
Member of Marketing Professional body (e.g. CIM).
Minimum 5 years mid-level experience in marketing in a finance company with an understanding of vendor finance programs.
Experience of leading and motivating a team to deliver projects meeting challenging targets and goals.
A team player who is able to work with colleagues in an open and challenging way.
Evidence of ability to come up with creative and innovative ideas that add real value to the customer and the business.
Good experience within a mid-senior marketing role with exposure to all media channels Commercial mind-set essential – to evaluate the viability and impact of activity.
Excellent organisational skills – used to manage multiple projects happening simultaneously.
Results driven with the energy and resilience to make things happen.
High levels of enthusiasm and drive – used to self-start. Inspire, motivate key stakeholders and suppliers.
Influencing and negotiation skills – used to manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
Understanding of B2B marketplace, European vendor environment, financial Services and regulatory environment – knowledge used to develop new routes to market.
