KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Plan, lead and manage the overall activities of the European Credit & Risk Team.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across business unit risk communities, to design and develop strategies for the future profitable growth of the business.
Lead processes and procedures, in line with the agreed Risk Appetite and Policy, to achieve and optimise balance between growth, credit and asset quality, overall delinquency performance, and returns.
Act as a source of research and critical analysis in product/project development, evaluation and strategic decision making.
Have direct performance management responsibilities for credit and collections staff.
Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place with respective approval to cover Credit, Compliance, Financial Crime, Collections and Asset Management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Degree educated.
A minimum of 10 years' experience in Risk Management at senior management level, including commercial credit underwriting experience.
You should also possess excellent and current understanding of the regulatory landscape in UK and Europe.
Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
Good knowledge of commercial contracts and legal documentation (leases, credit guarantees, operating agreements).
Experience in financial and data analysis desirable.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
