J2572 - Our client is seeking a Broker Business Development Manager, Structured Asset Finance to focus on new business origination and work with stakeholders in the business to maintain and deliver the optimum proposition in the market place, and helping to build a sustainable and profitable business line whilst delivering outstanding customer service. Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Mids or NW Eng.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This role will be focussed on origination of new business through building a broad network across a range of brokers, accountants, insolvency practitioners and other key business introducers.
Key to the success of this role will be understanding the drivers in their market and distribution network and in driving awareness of their capabilities and appetite.
You will be required to identify opportunities, qualifying them as a fit for the business and interfacing both with the introducers and end customers.
You will need to submit proposals to 1st line credit that are well presented and convey all the relevant information required to assess the opportunity.
Thereafter, you will be required to work in partnership with other functions, including Asset Management and Operations to drive a high conversion ratio of credit approvals to completed, funded transactions.
Through this process, you will need to negotiate strongly to ensure all conditions of sanction are satisfie and have robust security and documentation and deliver the return requirements.
You will be required to build strong external and internal relationships to deliver a successful and sustainable business line, at all times ensuring positive customer outcomes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Extensive experience of Asset Finance in a relevant role with established external relationships
Experience of Asset Refinance.
The willingness, aptitude and gravitas to be a key member of a growing business.
Detailed knowledge of the end to end Asset Finance process from enquiry, proposal, pay-out, end of lease.
Diversified asset mix exposure with knowledge of related risks.
Understanding of regulatory governance and compliance (i.e AML, Data / GDPR, complaints etc).
Knowledge of underwriting / credit with ability to review credit reports and balance sheets advantageous.
Prior experience of building a business with a keen knowledge of the risk / reward margin beneficial.
Previous experience of preparing and presenting proposals to credit committee preferred.
