Job Description :

J2680 - Our client is seeking a Head of Asset & Portfolio Management to assume responsibility for this function across our client's various businesses. Working closely with their key stakeholders across each business you will ensure robust asset management processes are in place in support of key target markets whilst building capability within the business to support the specialist areas. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Asset Valuations in support of new business proposals and in life evaluations for risk purposes.
Develop exit strategies and initiatives to maximise opportunities within the portfolio.
Create whole life (Asset lifecycle) plans in core sectors.
Implement asset management strategy across asset finance which will include the development of the following:
Management of office-based front end service support.
Automation and market data for desktop analysis.
Oversight of an approved panel for sources of information for use by in-house valuation team and/or recovery agents.
Intelligent use of historic asset data collated within the business to provide more accurate valuations and mark to market data.
Development of asset finance wide objectives and strategies as they relate to your area of responsibility.
Conduct regular risk and reviews together with management of specialist areas.
Ensure that user training, support, advice and feedback is provided to your team.
Design and maintain effective procedures and put them into operation.
Report and present to management committees and give key input to the strategic planning of the division.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

A focused proactive approach, self-motivated and able to acquire new skills and grasp new concepts quickly.
Good working knowledge of UK legislative and regulatory requirements in relation to asset finance.
Maintains solid relationships with external bodies, suppliers and clients.
Understanding of governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
An understanding of behavioural RVs and soft asset financing useful.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgement and decision making skills.
Effective problem-solving skills through logical thinking.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure, to use initiative and to recognise and act upon priorities.
Willing and able to adopt a flexible approach as required, using initiative to multi-task and work on several assignments simultaneously and to tight schedules.
Skilled in the use of Excel and proficient in Word and PowerPoint as well as navigating the internet to source information, with the ability and willingness to further develop MS Office skills.
