 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain new and existing partner programmes in terms of relationship and business volume.

  • Promote and sell point of sale services.

  • Proactively make customer visits & and telephone calls to end user customers to discuss financing requirements and ultimately close the sale.

  • Manage and sell pricing policy and negotiate on rate with allocated vendor accounts.

  • Conduct regular reviews on vendor accounts and maintain vendor up to date programmes summaries and procedures.

  • Ensure proposals are promptly acted upon and submitted with considered and strong commercial support as appropriate.

  • Manage risk declines and act as a contact for appealing decisions.

  • Hit personal and team volume, income and margin targets and other objectives as required including the obtaining of new vendor accounts.

  • On specific programmes prepare and submit residual value applications for approval.

  • Maintain excellent relationships with partners and customers to generate required sales volume and provide support in terms of system training, paperwork, ad-hoc queries.

  • Undertake pro-active marketing of existing channel customers and dealers for repeat business.

  • Attend regular sales and marketing meetings for the channel and with external relationships.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a sales account management position within the leasing / finance industry.

  • Knowledge and experience in construction, transportation and materials handling and engineering industries would be preferable.

  • A good understanding of the financial service requirements to support partner customers.

  • Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good credit skills to present deals and challenge referrals and declines.

  • Ability to use a financial calculator or tool proficiently.

  • Good time management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise. 

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
