​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​J2927 - Our client is seeking a Broker Account Manager (Hard Assets) to create, build and maintain excellent relationships with brokers and partners to deliver best in class pre sales support in order to maximize volumes and profitability. You will have continual contact with both internal and external customers and ability to build relationships.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain existing partner programmes in terms of relationship and business volume.

• Build strong personal relationships with partners and ensure the team becomes the first internal point of contact for proposals, quotations, documentation, risk queries and appeals.

• Proactively make telephone calls to partners to ensure a consistent and high level of service.

• Manage dealer / broker pipelines.

• Manage risk declines and be the first point of contact for appealing decisions and ensure appeals have sufficient information to justify a change in decision.

• Achieve personal and team volume, income and margin targets.

• On specific programmes prepare and submit residual value applications for approval.

• Assist in the evaluation of new documentation and provide drafting comments.

• Prepare monthly reports.

• Prepare annual credit and documentation reviews as and when required for internal accounts.

• Maintain excellent relationships with Brokers and customers to generate required sales volume and provide support in terms of system training, paperwork, ad-hoc queries.

• Responsible for liaising between customer, dealers and vendors and internally with sales, customer services, risk, collections & finance on any general queries with an aim to resolve any queries to the customers’ satisfaction.

• Undertake pro-active marketing of existing channel customers and dealers for repeat business.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Sound understanding of equipment finance and knowledge of the industry involved.

• Excellent customer care skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Good negotiation skills.

• Strong credit skills to present deals and challenge referrals and declines – preferred.

• Ability to use KPMG Classic tool and HP17 or equivalent.

• Accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise.

• 4 years+ experience in sales support / internal sales function

• Can work to service level deadlines.

• Experience and comfortable in participating in external customer meetings. 

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
