 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a team of Project Managers and BA’s - Perform 1-2-1s, Team Meetings, Appraisals, Development, etc.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Business and the BCI for all Projects.

  • Establish the Portfolio as ‘single source of truth’ (Business priorities, Status, Dependencies, IT Resource Allocation).

  • Chair monthly review meetings with critical internal stakeholders and leaders to discuss projects.

  • Own and develop the Project Governance Framework and its application.

  • Review process documents, project templates and other artifacts to improve/optimize the management of project.

  • Assist in the development and management of projects which directly contribute to delivering strategic objectives with the ability to understand the organisational impact of change.

  • Build and maintain relationships with departments across the business.

  • Build cross functional relationships to promote collaboration and identification of best practice.

  • Produce management information to support the Change function and wider business.

  • Budget control and tracking for all changes within the BCI portfolio.

  • Perform Audit tasks when required. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Project Management qualification (eg, Agile PM certification, Prince2, APM).

  • Knowledge of the Asset Finance Industry and products offered.

  • Solid track record of delivering IT Business projects and managing pipeline of new projects.

  • Experience of leading Change/Project Teams, coaching and training staff.

  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to effect the change without alienation.

  • Demonstrate logical thought processes to help understand complex issues and technical concepts quickly to facilitate issue resolution and solution generation.

  • Good stakeholder management skills, able to lead by example, hold teams, customers and partners to account.

  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal and external suppliers

  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels within the organisation, as well as with external parties (such as software suppliers).

  • Understanding of the commercial environment and ability to show empathy with business unit without losing objectivity.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
