You will be responsible for retaining existing and developing new customer and vendor relations whilst maintaining business portfolio quality. You will be well versed in preparing credit proposals and providing assistance to the Collections and Recoveries Team when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the European Sales Manager in Amsterdam, you will proactively, retain existing customer and vendor relations and develop new customer and vendor relations.

  • Maintain the business portfolio quality for Finland.

  • Undertake credit due diligence, to prepare credit proposals and new vendor applications.

  • Make recommendations with risks and mitigants to the Credit Team and the Leadership Team where required.

  • Provide assistance to the Collections and Recoveries Team when required to minimise bad debt and write-offs.

  • Contact delinquent customers and/or resolve billing and invoicing issues.

  • Develop knowledge of local target markets, assets financed and vendors including product offering and legal documentation. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Possess a strong mixture of commercial and risk management capabilities.

  • A self starter who enjoys working in a small team supported by a large international Group.

  • As the National Sales Manager you will be seeking to improve our business volumes in Finland whilst managing the current portfolio as well. This will be a proactive and hands-on role.

  • Strong Account Management and Business Development skills; especially within Hard Assets.

  • Good understanding of the Finnish asset finance market.

  • Commercial credit underwriting and collections activities.

  • Knowledge and understanding of working directly with multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience in asset finance / commercial lending.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products.

  • Ability to work with and collaborate with colleagues in an international environment.

  • Ability to work on own initiative.

  • Ability to collaborate with and influence senior colleagues.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally, in writing and on the telephone.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
