Our client a global IT financier are seeking to hire a Global Account Executive to manage and develop existing global accounts and to actively target and develop new ones.

You will inherit c20 global accounts located across mid and south Germany and the German speaking area of Switzerland who currently finance > €40m annually of IT products and services with our client.

Your role is to strategically develop these accounts cross selling and upselling to build upon existing engagement and volumes of business with those accounts who are current users of our clients solutions.

You will have strong focus on building account development plans to gain strategic buy in from those accounts who invest millions annually in IT assets and services but are not yet active users of our clients finance solutions.

You will work across a numbers of different verticals but with a particular focus on the financial services and insurance sector and pharmaceutical sector.

Examples of the global accounts that you will inherit and realistic sales target you will be responsible for achieving will be shared with suitably qualified applicants.

You will be actively supported in your role to ensure that that regular run rate business from your accounts does not distract you from the primary function of this role, which is to understand the business drivers of your customers and to craft financial solutions that meet those drivers. You will be expected to build engagement and solution sell at the highest level to ensure our client becomes a strategic partner.

Candidate Profile

To apply you must speak and write business standard English and have a successful sales background in IT finance operating with accounts at either enterprise or preferably global account level. These are non negotiable.

You will be technically proficient, fully aware of all the latest consumption financing solutions and have a strong appreciation of what the strategic issues are for CTO’s and CFO’s in relation to IT infrastructure and life cycle management etc.

You will have real gravitas and presence be able to work at senior levels across multiple functions with customers and with colleagues across EMEA , Americas and Asia Pacific sharing best practice and learnings.

We are seeking applications from those with demonstrable energy, enthusiasm and drive, you will be good on your feet and you may even be “a bit of a maverick” to quote the hiring manager , and if so “that is okay”

In regard to location most of your global accounts are based in mid or south Germany and the German speaking area of Switzerland.
