Our client a leading asset financier are seeking an Area Sales Manager to be responsible for developing transport asset finance business across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and South Wiltshire.

Your role will be one of largely new business development of customers on the sales area. There will be two routes to accessing customers your own prospecting activity direct to the customer for which you will need to demonstrate the ability to organise , manage and deliver your own customer contact strategy and also dealer driven introductions from LCV and HGV dealers that you identify , target and engage with.

You will be responsible for achieving very realistic first year volume targets of typically of £4m but to make your on target earnings you will need to confident getting customers to pay 11% + nominal.

You will also have the opportunity to make additional margin from doc fees and insurance income.

Commission is paid monthly and is paid on every deal you close and is uncapped and commission rates rise when you sell at higher yields.

Significant year end paid volume bonuses are paid at £6m and £12m of volume with it not being unusual to see end of year volumes bonus of > £50,000 being paid to higher achievers.

We will be happy to disclose commission rates paid at different selling yields and volume bonuses paid at £6m , £12m and above to suitably qualified applicants.

Realistic first year income is £90,000, year 2 you should earn £120,000 + year 3 £150,000 +, however you could get to these income numbers much faster than this depending on your ability to sell at margin rich rates and also drive up volume more quickly.

The highest earners at our client in these roles are making over £250,000, this could be you!

Candidate Profile

We are seeking applications from those who live on the sales area and have a successful sales record in asset finance finding and closing deals directly with customers and / or getting access to deals from dealers.

Those who have experience of financing transport assets, LCV’s, HGV’s car fleets, are of particular interest as are those who have a network of customer contacts that can be re-leveraged.

Those who have a background in transport sales roles and have a network of contacts and have some experience of using finance as a sales tool are also actively encouraged to apply.

You will be sales driven , with the ability to plan and manage your own activities and be self motivated but able to work as part of team and within a larger regulated group.

Whatever your background what is a pre requisite is a genuine desire and hunger for high and uncapped earnings and the willingness and ability to get your customer to pay 11% or preferably more, not because tactically our client cannot go out at lower rates they can but to do so impacts on your own commission , so we seek those who can sell rather than those used to succeeding in part by offering cheap money.
