to £85,000 OTE £130,000 monthly paid commission, uncapped earnings.
Our client are seeking to hire a senior business developer to spearhead its penetration into the commercial mortgage sector.
Whilst they are a major lender owned by prestigious long established parent the intention is to fund applications via their large panel of funders that they already utilise in the particular part of the business this role will report into.
The rationale for this is that they expect to see wide range of applications typically from £500,000 upwards across a variety of credits and a demand for a wide variety of solutions.
This role is not one where you are expected to canvass for deals directly. You will liaise across all of our clients various business units, for an idea of scale they have more than a dozen business units and more than 150 originators nationally.
These originators will be remunerated for referring successful deals that you then manage and close therefore you will have a captive audience to work with.
As a consequence there will be three primary aspects to your role :
- Train and evangelise the various sales teams , sales leaders and business leaders as to the type of deals that are both of interest and are viable to be funded in the market
- Personally close such referred deals to you working at C level
- Work with internal operations staff and the funding panel to make a decisions on which funder best suits which deal to maximise fee income and customer satisfaction.
You will also be expected to work with the senior leadership team to advise on additional funders that may be required to support the customer need and indeed help bring those new funders on board.
You can be expected to advise on the need for product enhancements and / or value added services to maximise both fee income and improve customer satisfaction.
Whilst the role is an originator it has the potential to grow into a people leader role over time and will have uncapped earning potential.
We are seeking applications only from those with deep commercial mortgage lending experience in a senior originator capacity and who can evidence their success.
Please do not apply if you do not have this commercial mortgage finance sales experience.
We are flexible on location as this is a national role and one with national travel.
Our ideal applicant will have experience working in a similar capacity working with a funding panel and ideally will also have a wide range of funder contacts.
You must have a high degree of gravitas & genuine presence as you must be able to gain the buy and respect of your colleagues to make them want to refer sales opportunities to you.
They must be confident that you can add value to their existing relationships.
You should also have broad commercial skills, a depth of product and solution awareness and also well developed credit skills to quickly be able to determine the viability or not of a deal.
