General Motors has named Raúl Mier as its new director of sales and operations for Colombia.
The move is part of the manufacturer’s consolidation of its South American business and follows the merge of its three branches in the region earlier this year.
Mier (pictured) has worked in the automotive sector for more than 20 years in roles such as marketing, planning, exports and financing.
His previous posts have included Chile and Japan and he holds an undergraduate degree from the Universidad de los Andes with postgraduate studies in international business and negotiation strategies.
Mier said the business would work to expand into new market segments and enhance the ownership experience for customers.
