A new product from UK online motor retail technology provider iVendi has generated a 32% increase in leads and enquiries during trials.

Called Convert, it is part of a suite of services designed to help turn online consumer interest into a sale.Convert includes a reservation tool, finance eligibility checking, finance application processing, multi-lender quoting, finance product information and videos, and a stock checker, which automatically checks the accuracy of vehicle descriptions.

James Tew (pictured), chief executive officer at iVendi, said: “Convert is a significant upgrade to our popular Dealer Widget product and we wanted to completely rethink our approach, taking the best of what we have learnt over the decade and combining it with our latest ideas.

“Innovations have been made when it comes to factors such as demonstrating the affordability of each dealer’s vehicles, giving consumers the means to progress the sale online through reserving, providing a wide range of calls-to-action at appropriate points in the purchasing journey and, finally, financing the car, van or motorbike.”

The system was tested with three dealer groups in real-world conditions and led to a 32% increase in leads and enquiries.

Tew said a key benefit of the system was the provision of automated checks of stock descriptions, as around 8% of vehicles held by dealers are affected by data conflicts, which can lead to incorrect finance quotes or deals. Two additional services, Engage and Transact, will be launched by iVendi during 2020.
